BASIC COURSE
This course consists of 1-hour dockside and three 4-hour sessions on water. Our curriculum is designed to provide the finest instruction in the shortest period of time. Many students complete their instruction on the weekend, however, some prefer spreading the sessions over a 3 or 4 day period. Instruction includes: Nomenclature, Points of Sailing, Rules of the Road, Seamanship, Proper Tacking Procedure, Gybing-quickest and safest method, Proper Landing Procedure, Water Safety, Essential Knot Tying, Essential Equipment, Rigging, Tides, Man-over-board Drills, Heaving To, Leaving Dock or Mooring, Sailing a prescribed course.

INTERMEDIATE COURSE
We offer an intermediate sailing course to those that have attained proven basic sailing skills. Instruction includes: Review of Basic Skills, Basic Tuning, Tidal Flow, Sail Controls, Sail Shape, Traveller, Sail Set and Trim, Weight Distribution, Reefing, Backstay Adjustment.

ADVANCED/SPINNAKER/RACING COURSE
NSST offers to the sailor that has successfully attained both basic and intermediate skills the opportunity to expand sailing knowledge . Course includes: Advanced tuning, racing tactics, starts, windshifts, mast deflection, latest "go-fast" techniques, latest sail designs, spinnaker set, spinnaker trim.
